Ever have one of those days when your booty is glued to your chair and your fingers are like machines that are humming along.
Except when you think you have Carpal tunnel. Ugh….

I was in Beverly Hills and stopped my car after seeing this car which was plastered with Post-It notes. I don’t get the point of it, but I needed to take a video of it. RANDOM!
I’ve been getting a massive amount of spam lately…they’re like gnats/cockroaches of the web. Make them disappear!! But this particular one actually made me chuckle… I wonder if anyone actually believes this “business proposal.” haha.
And…the design team at Creation Hive sent over a possible logo for girlatastartup, and I think it pretty much embodies the spirit of this blog. My other friend and talented designer, Eric Burds, is also creating a logo, so we’ll see which one fits the best.
I get my share of random and odd e-mails, where people will ask me about how to make a certain recipe or if I can help them find their high school sweetheart. (Uh… random) Or guys will e-mail me inappropriate comments, which are usually gross, but 8 times out of 10, make me laugh.
Usually this is my response:
“Great to hear from you, but I only talk about documents. Anything related to documents.”
This is today’s random e-mail.

Juan used to work with me back at our old offices on Olympic Boulevard. We never spoke much, but I always knew the dude was really funny and wicked smart/witty. He worked on a lot of the content here at docstoc, and also kept us laughing. He’s on his way back East to be with his fiancee (girlish enthusiasm emanating), but you know, I needed to get one more vid. So here’s myself, Dudi, Juan, and Serena.

So, when I got back from NY, I looked at my car and thought, “Um.. there’s a huge dent on the front side of my vehicle.” My mother tells me that she took it for a spin while I was gone, and by accident, she bumped into a pillar. I actually didn’t care too much EXCEPT the fact that I’m an Asian-American female in Los Angeles. You know…that stereotype that Asian women can’t drive. EXCEPT I’m a good driver!!
All I could think about was: “Great, now when people see me on the freeway. They’re going to think that I can’t drive.” Freaking A. An FYI to all of you who might see me in LA; I CAN DRIVE!!
Okay, I’m done ranting. Hope you had a good Wednesday.
I’m obsessed with beverages. And Apples. Is this a random post? Yup.
This is my current favorite beverage; Green Tea. Love it.

Cheap, and nutritious snack. Apples are low in calories, full of fiber, and oh-so-delicious. I need to eat at least 2 per day. (Yes, my nails look gross)

And just discovered this today at Trader Joes. Diet Hansens Pomegranate Soda.
Verdict? Really good, with no bad aftertaste.

And yes, there’s an ice skating rink open in the middle of Santa Monica. Isn’t it an oxymoron with the name “Ice” and the Palm trees in the background?

Growing up as a Korean-American, you have to navigate two worlds, usually amongst your non Asian-American friends at school and then your Asian friends from church, Korean school, or “Enrichment school.” Here are the definitions for the latter two.
Korean School- - Where your parents force you to go on Saturday mornings, usually from 10 AM-3PM so you can learn about the Korean culture, history, vocabulary, and fun things like grammar. I was a “rebel” in my class because I didn’t take it seriously (though I kind of wish I had studied harder), and proceeded to never do my homework, study for tests, or do the assignments. Meanwhile, in “Regular school,” I was usually on the honor roll. (Sigh. Another stereotype) About 98% of the other Korean-American kids were the same as me. They were on the honor roll at regular school, and then they were the “Bad kids” at Korean school. Can I just give a huge SHOUT-OUT APOLOGY to my former Korean School teachers?!! Word
Enrichment School-- This was usually where you went AFTER Korean school, so basically your Saturdays were shot. This was a school where you’d do extra studying in Math, English, and PSAT or SAT Prep. If you didn’t do your homework, you’d have to do this punishment called the “Duck Walk” around the school parking lot. It was actually quite hilarious looking back. Ah… those were the days.
Also, if you’re into Korean dramas, check out MySoju.com, which has an array of them online for free, and had to add this cartoon. Usually, I’d go visit Korea or go to these stationary stores with adorable stationary that made no sense in English. But it didn’t really matter b/c it was so cute. Enjoy!
